1. Combat Strategies
Hotsteel possesses both High Armor and High Explosiveness.
Utilize Explosive Charge skill to close in on an enemy and Launch Tornado Missile For Massive Damage.
After Activating The Soul Of Steel Core Module Double-Tap in Rampaging Status will Coalesce Heat into a Fusion Missile to deal a lethal strike to enemy.
Every Mecha has four Module Skills: Attack Defense, Propulsion, and Core, that can be freely allocated out of combat. After allocation, the appropriate module must be found in the Arena to activate the skill. Every module type ranged from level 1-3 (Green, Blue, Purple) to activate skills of different levels.
Here’s recommended modules for Hotsteel:
Hotsteel Clip Capacity not that big, so its good to increase it with Clip module.
Unyielding module reduce damage suffered up to 20% after using Explosive Charge skill.
And Hotsteel March purple module highly recommended to use, because Hotsteel’s Primary weapon really slow. March module improves shoot velocity.
Core 1 Battle Frenzy Hotsteel module recover DUR equal to 10% of damage dealt to enemy. This is helps a lot to recover Hotsteel’s HP during fight.
3. Tech setup
Each player has a different style of play, so it is better to choose the modules that are right for you. if you are an experienced player, I ask you to write in the comments your Nickname and the Modules, Tech setup & Pilot talent that you use. This way we will be able to collect tips and tech configurations of different alpha players.
Since Hotsteel Primary weapon really slow, here’s Hotsteel Tech Setup focused on Shoot Velocity and Life Drain:
|Efficiant Reload||Area of Explosion +2%, Shot Velocity +2%|
|Penetration Command||Damage Bonus with High DUR +1.8%, Shot Velocity +2%|
|Hyperfire||Long-range damage +1.5%, Shot Velocity +2%|
|Improved Fuel Tank||Max Fuel +2%, Fuel Recovery +1.8%|
|First Response Unit||Life Drain on attacks +1.2%, Shield Recovery +2%|
|Self-healing Liner||Life Drain on attacks +1.2%, Low-DUR DR +2.5%|
Hotsteel one of few Mecha with great ability Life Drain. And its really needed for Hotsteel. Huge DUR and HP requires to use more repair devices too. So let’s improve Hotsteel Life Drain ability with modules.
And all attack modules focused on shoot velocity, it makes easier to hit target. Hotsteel damage already great, but shoot velocity not good enough. So, this modules improves shoot velocity and helps to hit enemies.
Feel free to change this configuration for yourself. Also share in Comments what Tech setup you use for Hotsteel?
4. Pilot Ability
Hotsteel’s Pilot Ivan have Gravity Amplifier ability. It can works for Hotsteel, but there is better Ability:
Joanna’s Fuel Bonus ability works much better. There is nice tactic with Hotsteel to fly directly up, and then Hover in Air and attack enemy from Air. This Fuel Bonus gives additional time to Hover in Air, and better for Hotsteel mobility.
5. Tactical Terminals
Any of this Tactical Terminals works great for Hotsteel, for better Defense and Damage bonus.
Great Terminal overall. If your Mecha Full HP and you use repair device, then it makes additional temporary Shield for Hotsteel, this is very good for defense.
Regenerate 10% max DUR after destroying enemy. Since Hosteel got huge DUR, 10% of it will be significant and very good. Once you destroyed one mecha, it repaired your HP a bit, and you still can continue to fight another enemy mecha.
Strike Back, Burstshot, Eye for an Eye:
Hotsteel have small clip capacity, but damage / per shoot very big. So Terminals like this should works great for damage bonus.
